Save Don't Delete

Could you imagine your life's work taken before your very eyes, deleted forever with no trace of it to be ever seen again. Information is worth fighting for. Information can be destroyed and if its destroyed its gone for good. We may learn many things as our lives press on but we will all have that stored and eventually it will all be deleted....
A great example, S.O.P.A or Stop Online Piracy Act may defy what I have just said. I want you to imagine websites and their countless pages of info about something. Imagine them being worked on for many years and then they are taken away in a matter of seconds just because of one small flaw. The government has the right idea when S.O.P.A was taken into action but they didn't realize that they were destroying countless pages of information that we can never retrieve again. Wikipedia....the biggest human made encyclopedia to date, its something so huge and each one of its pages has info on something. Since Wikipedia was made it had pages added to it, wouldn't it be a waist if we just get rid of the site? S.O.P.A blocks any site or gets rid of any site with any piracy in it, the smallest amount of piracy can get a whole site blocked. Imagine if they took down Wikipedia, imagine how much info we would've lost if that happened.
Information is definitely worth fighting for. Imagine if we all just stood there learning nothing and just losing all the info we have learned. Information teaches us how to do things, its what our daily lives revolve around. During all of our lives we will all learn something. That something is being explained and taught to us, that's info that is being given to us. Why fight for it? It is valuable to some degree. It could info on how to type or it could be info on missile launch codes. Those are two different varying degrees of information. The info that is used less is more threatened towards extinction. Less and less people know about info that is less used therefore it would just get to a point, that point is when none of us know about it and we have lost it for good.
Education a giant thing that teaches us all information and prepares us for life in the future. What happens if that is taken away? We have no future. The degree of information we lose may severely hurt us but if we lose education we lose most of our lives. Things could happen and maybe one day we lose schools or education. Imagine what happens to all young lings and no education. They have no basis of life. In order to survive in this world we have to all have information taught to us.A baby doesn't know how to do multiplication or even talk for that matter. If us humans were to take away information to that extent then life would be simple but it would be extremely hard to live.
The more and more you work on something the better but you must realize that as information gets updated, it gets bigger and it needs more protection. Unfortunately information is something taken for granted now a days. You never no what you have till its gone. And when its gone we cannot do anything about it. Information is what we all have in our minds, info on how to walk, info on tomorrow's test, info on anything. If we lose that info our lives may get harder in someway. For example, you miss a day of math class and then the next day your there in math class. You don't know what they are talking about and you don't know what to do. What do you do?.... What do we do if we don't have that info? Do we panic? What do we do?.....

Taking Over

The land rumbled, weeped and moaned as their children were brutally snatched by the foreign lumberjacks,
The British stalked in the native land with the demeanor of a grace full gazelle,
And took everything.
They dominated, humiliated and disrupted
The native wildlife
And took everything.
Deprived them of their own roots
The British badly burning the once boisterous bond.
And took everything
They stole the children, brainwashed the men, and captured the wives
And in the end,
They took everything.

Freedom is Imagination

Something we all need in our normal lives is creativity or imagination. Our imagination is probably the most powerful thing our minds have mainly because its our own creative ideas and that we can make anything out of it. Based on what we believe we can think of anything depending on your ideas. Having freedom has its benefits and one of those benefits is imagination.
Imagination...it has created nearly everything you can think of because one person had an idea and pursued that idea and created it. Imagination probably created everything on this Earth. Being free means to not be controlled physically by authorities but as well as pursuing your ideas and having rights to be yourself. I've done some research on other blogs about imagination and based on some of these blogs one of them really inspired me as it said "The Imagination is Freedom in action". Based on that quote I think its mostly true because if you are thinking about something or pursuing something you want to do in your future you have freedom in what you want.
Negative and positive thoughts can change your freedom when it comes to imagination. For example if you always say to yourself that you will never get an A+ on a test or in school then you will never get there mainly because its negative and its discouraging therefore causing you to believe that you will never get there. But if it were the opposite then its possible that you may get there. Besides effecting grades, imagination can effect your self esteem and your characteristics. An example of this is is you think very low of yourself then you will never get yo your goal and always be a sad person. If you are positive then most of the time you will have things work out for you. Being too positive can be good but isn't really recommended mostly because it can make you act in a "weird" type of way and if you are two positive to some extent then you may become arrogant. So what you want is something in the middle to balance out everything but at the same time to have a good self esteem and doing good in your daily life.
Based on the topic of my whole blog which is what something is worth fighting for, imagination and freedom are probably two things that are definitely worth fighting for. So put it like this, if you had no freedom physically but you dreamed of things or had unique thoughts of anything then you are free based on what you think. What I mean by this is that don't always face reality in what it really is because sometimes you can change how you see it with just the spark of an idea. The idea you may have is definitely your choice but if you always are negative you will never be free and vise versa so if you are positive you will become free. The message I am trying to convey is that you should have ideas, think positively and have a high self esteem if you have those requirements and possibly other traits then you will have freedom no matter what situation your in.

The ones who I would fight for...

Family is definitely something worth fighting for and it is something that we all need. Family is known as the people who care and love about you but at the same time they can be very annoying and humiliating.  I've had many "experiences" with my family which is great but at the same time it can get annoying and humiliating. Most people think of family as annoyance or something they take for granted until its to late to get them back but I do think like that sometimes but yet family is still something that you want no matter what happens. Since I am a teenager I normally don't like my family in general because they mainly bother me  a little but thats quite normal considering that as you get older you get more independent and therefore you find your family a little "bothersome". My family is really great and all but it definitely has its problems.  I will be honest, my family is somewhat normal as we do hang out and do activities with each other but I don't really like hanging out with them since I have friends that I'de rather hang out with.
Family is needed for support and love. I have a quite better than average family and yeah they do support me. But other times they can crush your spirit and do a lot of other "horrible" things to you but at the end of the day you have to forgive them as you live with them. They are a big part of your lives and they are the people who you spend your most valuable time in your life with(childhood).  In most sports or tournaments I will see my family cheering for me and I am quite grateful to have a very supportive family. My brothers and sisters are not exactly the most "supportive" but my parents are very supportive of what I do and they give me a lot of advice rather than annoying me and stealing my stuff like my siblings do. But my siblings may actually do some good things for me such as doing favors or letting me borrow things which I do thank them for.
Advice.... we all need it at some point in our lives and whats better than to tell the ones you love A.K.A family. Problems we have at school or if we are getting bullied is what we tell to our family. I don't actually talk about my problems to my family mostly because they don't care(just kidding) but in all seriousness its just an awkward thing to talk about. I mean problems are what counselors and friends are for. I only talk about grade problems or something physically wrong with me to my family. But some "unique" people out there may actually talk to people about their problems and that is quite good because family should care and be there for you when your in need. Other advice is about how to do something or how to be better at sports or something like that. In other words family is needed for support and advice and that they will care about you...well maybe they will...
I am quite lucky as I do have a family and that others may not be as fortunate as me. Some children in the world may not even have a family or parents for that matter. I do sometimes feel guilty as I think of how I may sometimes take my family for granted when there are other people who don't have what I have. I will say that people who do have families think its one of the most horrible things to have while others may love their families with their heart but people who don't have families don't get the care that we do. Orphans are an example of this because they don't have the parents to support them but if you are an orphan you can think that your parents do care about you and that they did what they did for a good reason to do so. Family loves you no matter what unless... your family is like horrible.

Love is difficult

What something that we all don't have success with
Its so hard to believe in it because its like a myth
What are some of us tired of
Well my friends its called Love
Love is a complicated thing
Its exactly like a string
If you don't treat it right
It will "snap"
So don't fool around when it comes to love or its just a trap
But if you have success with it
Then you are quite the one to express it and recommit for it
And if your good with love you wont have a fit
So don't just ignore what i'm writing
Its definitely worth fighting
Love can be difficult yes, yes it can
But its something that everyone wants, so be prepared...and have a plan.

For this poem I decided to also thing about what our class poem was about which was love and basically make a poem of my own. In this poem I give love a difficult and bad from the perspective of the reader. I  say that it maybe very difficult but yet it is still worth it. One thing that I was thinking about was that I wanted it to rhyme and makes sense at the same time. Yes it did take longer to create the poem since the rhymes had to make sense but I found that it made my poem sound better. I added a slight bit of humor near the end which was the line that said "have a plan" because honestly I just wanted to make it funny as I thought the poem was a little to serious but if I added to much comedy to it then it wouldn't necessarily have the same effect on the reader. So for my poem I tried quite hard to make it my own and to customize it the way I want it to be, I also gave it a meaning which is love can be difficult but its worth it and that if you read this I want you to think about it as well as being inspired by it.

Someone Who Made a Difference

                                                             Martin Luther King, Jr.

Not the most original person to talk about, I know, but still Martin Luther King, Jr. is someone that definitely made a huge difference in the world. In case you don't know what he is famous for being an activist or leader in the African American civil rights movement. Back then when he lived the U.S.A was not the best place to live in due to segregation and racism. For some reason people mistreated African Americans just because of their skin color, they did nothing wrong yet still they chose to mistreat them. He was inspired by Mahatma Gandhi another activist before him and he wanted to fight for African Americans all around the world due to the way they were treated. His most famous moment and one of the biggest, most important moments in history was his " I Have a Dream" speech. The speech is quite self explanatory due to its name but what makes it important is the "dreams" he had. For example he dreamed to have racial equality and put an end to the ridicule and discrimination of the African American citizens or for anyone else in that matter. The speech is what made him very famous due to its contents. After the speech was heard people started listening. Another example is Rosa Parks she didn't want to give up her bus seat to another person just because of her skin color. So people actually listened to the speech rather than let it fly by. He won the noble peace prize and many other awards due to his position of importance in the African American community. But... at 6.01 p.m , April 4, 1968 at the Lorraine Motel, Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated. The aftermath was unbearable, the entire nation of America had racial riots and everything was a giant mess. But after all he had done, he succeeded in what he wanted in the first place and the world did listen, that's why it is like it is now. There still is racism today but much more less then it was back then. He was granted a national hero and he still is very well known in today's world. But through all the writing, speeches and hard times he went through he got what he wanted and we should all be grateful to him for doing such things. He died for what he wanted and in the end we must all fight for something we want. Respect and equality are definitely worth fighting for.

Equality = Utopia

Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish. -Albert Einstein

If I ever got the chance to create a perfect world, a major characteristic I would want to have in it would be the factor of equality. In today's world everyone is different and we should all be treated the same no matter what we look like, what skin color we are, what religion we are or race we are. If I had the chance to change that then we could have less problems in the world for  example back in the 1800s many people were treated as slaves due to there skin color, I feel that it is cruel and wrong to do so just because of the color of your skin and I think that if the world could have equality then we wouldn't have to deal with such problems. The same amount of respect and kindness to everyone would be great to have and we wouldn't have such a great deal of problems that we now have today in the "real" world, many people have been mistreated because of their religions, skin color etc... and that if we had equality then it would be a utopia. Nothing would go wrong, no wars, no genocide, no mistreating and if I had the chance to create a utopia, equality is the biggest thing I would want it to have.
