Love is difficult

What something that we all don't have success with
Its so hard to believe in it because its like a myth
What are some of us tired of
Well my friends its called Love
Love is a complicated thing
Its exactly like a string
If you don't treat it right
It will "snap"
So don't fool around when it comes to love or its just a trap
But if you have success with it
Then you are quite the one to express it and recommit for it
And if your good with love you wont have a fit
So don't just ignore what i'm writing
Its definitely worth fighting
Love can be difficult yes, yes it can
But its something that everyone wants, so be prepared...and have a plan.

For this poem I decided to also thing about what our class poem was about which was love and basically make a poem of my own. In this poem I give love a difficult and bad from the perspective of the reader. I  say that it maybe very difficult but yet it is still worth it. One thing that I was thinking about was that I wanted it to rhyme and makes sense at the same time. Yes it did take longer to create the poem since the rhymes had to make sense but I found that it made my poem sound better. I added a slight bit of humor near the end which was the line that said "have a plan" because honestly I just wanted to make it funny as I thought the poem was a little to serious but if I added to much comedy to it then it wouldn't necessarily have the same effect on the reader. So for my poem I tried quite hard to make it my own and to customize it the way I want it to be, I also gave it a meaning which is love can be difficult but its worth it and that if you read this I want you to think about it as well as being inspired by it.

Someone Who Made a Difference

                                                             Martin Luther King, Jr.

Not the most original person to talk about, I know, but still Martin Luther King, Jr. is someone that definitely made a huge difference in the world. In case you don't know what he is famous for being an activist or leader in the African American civil rights movement. Back then when he lived the U.S.A was not the best place to live in due to segregation and racism. For some reason people mistreated African Americans just because of their skin color, they did nothing wrong yet still they chose to mistreat them. He was inspired by Mahatma Gandhi another activist before him and he wanted to fight for African Americans all around the world due to the way they were treated. His most famous moment and one of the biggest, most important moments in history was his " I Have a Dream" speech. The speech is quite self explanatory due to its name but what makes it important is the "dreams" he had. For example he dreamed to have racial equality and put an end to the ridicule and discrimination of the African American citizens or for anyone else in that matter. The speech is what made him very famous due to its contents. After the speech was heard people started listening. Another example is Rosa Parks she didn't want to give up her bus seat to another person just because of her skin color. So people actually listened to the speech rather than let it fly by. He won the noble peace prize and many other awards due to his position of importance in the African American community. But... at 6.01 p.m , April 4, 1968 at the Lorraine Motel, Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated. The aftermath was unbearable, the entire nation of America had racial riots and everything was a giant mess. But after all he had done, he succeeded in what he wanted in the first place and the world did listen, that's why it is like it is now. There still is racism today but much more less then it was back then. He was granted a national hero and he still is very well known in today's world. But through all the writing, speeches and hard times he went through he got what he wanted and we should all be grateful to him for doing such things. He died for what he wanted and in the end we must all fight for something we want. Respect and equality are definitely worth fighting for.

Equality = Utopia

Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish. -Albert Einstein

If I ever got the chance to create a perfect world, a major characteristic I would want to have in it would be the factor of equality. In today's world everyone is different and we should all be treated the same no matter what we look like, what skin color we are, what religion we are or race we are. If I had the chance to change that then we could have less problems in the world for  example back in the 1800s many people were treated as slaves due to there skin color, I feel that it is cruel and wrong to do so just because of the color of your skin and I think that if the world could have equality then we wouldn't have to deal with such problems. The same amount of respect and kindness to everyone would be great to have and we wouldn't have such a great deal of problems that we now have today in the "real" world, many people have been mistreated because of their religions, skin color etc... and that if we had equality then it would be a utopia. Nothing would go wrong, no wars, no genocide, no mistreating and if I had the chance to create a utopia, equality is the biggest thing I would want it to have.
